Apply the powder with a large, full, round brush. Avoid using a sponge or powder puff, which can put too much powder onto the face. Tap just a bit of powder onto the cap of the foundation. Pick up some of the powder on the full end of the brush, swirl the brush around till all the powder is inside the brush. Then knock off the excess, and buff it on in circular motions, one area at a time. Don't try to smooth it on by massaging the puff over the face. Dust a light layer of powder over the entire face and eyelids. For a more dramatic and matte look, apply with a damp makeup sponge.
